Managing Director of a Pension Fund (80–100%)

St.Galler Kantonalbank is seeking a Managing Director for its pension fund who will oversee day-to-day operations and support the board on strategic matters. The position requires a degree in business administration and several years of experience in a leadership role within the management of pension funds.

Managing Director of a Pension Fund (80–100%)

As Managing Director at St.Galler Kantonalbank, you will oversee day-to-day operations, serve as the coordinator for all relevant committees and bodies, and support the Executive Board on strategic matters.

Tasks

You will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Manage the pension fund with a small team and ensure the smooth handling of all tasks related to employee benefits, including providing advice and professional information to the board of directors and the various locations.
  • As a future member of the foundation’s executive committee, prepare for regular meetings and represent the interests of our pension fund in all relevant bodies.
  • Assist management in implementing Tax Regulation 26 and ensure compliance with all related requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and directives in coordination with supervisory authorities, and ensure that the occupational pension experts (BVG) and the auditor have access to the most up-to-date information.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Executive Board and the Foundation Board, and act as the liaison to the CIO and the Occupational Pension Department.

Requirements

You should meet the following requirements:
  • Hold a degree in business administration (e.g., B.S. in Business Administration) and/or have equivalent experience in occupational pension plans.
  • Have several years of experience in a management position in the field of pension fund administration (e.g., manager of employee benefits).
  • Have several years of experience in the field of employee benefits, ideally in implementing regulatory changes.
