Application Services Manager
The Application Services Manager is responsible for monitoring and improving systems, automating processes, and solving problems for internal customers. The ideal candidate has experience in IT, particularly in the development, operation, or architecture of systems, and has a strong interest in continuous improvement and automation.
Tasks
- Participate in monitoring and observing systems (infrastructure, middleware, and software), propose proactive improvements based on these observations and analyses
- Manage the deployment of application packages in various environments while adhering to rigorous processes
- Participate in the automation of these operations in order to reduce the risk of errors.
- Find pragmatic solutions to internal customer problems
- Participate in the 24/7 on-call service
Requirements
- Higher education in computer science
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a software developer, operations engineer, or systems architect
- Strong interest in continuous improvement of systems and automation of IT processes
- Good understanding of the architecture of distributed information systems
- Swiss resident or willingness to take up residence in Switzerland in order to participate in on-call duty
- Good command of Unix/Linux tools
- Reading Java-oriented application logs
- Monitoring Type Dynatrace
- Some knowledge of DB (oral/PostgreSQL)
- Some knowledge of networks/web application firewalls
