Job Title: Global Category Lead - IT Infrastructure (Executive Director)Tasks
- Oversight and development of team members in other regions - Management and/or monitoring of category-wide efficiency and governance initiatives - Effective management and delivery of new deals and contract renewals, including:- Influencing the adoption of appropriate procurement strategies and approaches
- Management of RFPs and tenders, including complex and high-profile commercial/negotiations
- Significant interactions with senior internal clients and senior representatives of external suppliers
- Preparation and presentation of meaningful deal summaries/recommendations
- Recruiting and maintaining cross-functional and cross-regional teams
- Maintaining deal pipelines
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent qualification - CIPM or other professional procurement/purchasing qualification desirable - Several years of experience in procurement of relevant expenditure categories in a blue-chip environment, with experience in category management and a proven track record of success in managing commercial and construction projects, including:- Lead the development and maintenance of strategic category-wide plans and initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders
- Portfolio opportunity analysis and subsequent benefit delivery
- Interaction and influence at senior management level
- Effective influence and delivery of large-scale projects
- Leading financial analyses, competitive bidding, and negotiations for regional and global agreements with a range of values and complexities
- P2P negotiation and value extraction from embedded legacy/incumbent suppliers
- Knowledge of pricing and contract mechanisms for global IT suppliers
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial and legal terms and conditions related to IT infrastructure contracts (including network, hardware, and outsourcing services, data center)
- Knowledge of IT spending categories and topics, including software/cloud, staff augmentation, and cyber/information security would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the supply market, supplier characteristics, and expected trends at the geographic and global levels
