Global Director - Vulnerability Management & Security Configuration - Limerick
Northern Trust is seeking a Global Director of Vulnerability Management & Security Configuration in Limerick, Ireland, to lead the global strategy for reducing cyber risks in infrastructure, cloud, and AI environments. The position requires in-depth expertise in cybersecurity, AI-driven threat assessment, and the transformation of security programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Transformation
- Define and drive the global strategy for vulnerability management and security configuration across all infrastructure (on-premises, cloud, remote, and global business lines)
- Transition capabilities from legacy systems to AI-driven systems, including:
- Threat Prioritization
- Automated remediation
- Threat-level screening
- Align with CISO priorities and enterprise risk objectives
- Program Delivery
- Design and lead a global vulnerability management program, including:
- Process, tooling automation, and governance
- Security Reporting and Evidence Collection
- Vulnerability Lifecycle Management
- Threat Prioritization and Exploitability
- Asset inventory and external visibility
- Define enterprise-wide policies and remediation standards
- Design and lead a global vulnerability management program, including:
- Security Configuration
- Define and enforce enterprise hardening policies
- Drive governance, including exception management and SLA enforcement
Requirements
- Proven experience in cybersecurity with deep expertise in vulnerability management and security operations
- A passion for building systems and scaling enterprise programs
- Strong background in:
- AI-driven / cloud / cloud security
- Configuration Management and Hardening
- Tech-driven intelligence (automation-focused)
- Proven track record in leading large-scale transformation initiatives
