Global Director – Vulnerability Management & Security Configuration
Northern Trust is seeking a Global Director of Vulnerability Management & Security Configuration in Chicago to define and implement the global strategy for vulnerability management and security configuration across cloud and infrastructure environments. The position requires over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, as well as strong leadership and technical skills to scale enterprise-wide security programs.
Tasks
- Define and test the global strategy for vulnerability management and security configuration across infrastructure devices in cloud, managed, and unmanaged environments.
- Transition capabilities from Day Zero to full deployment, including:
- Standardize and monitor configuration management tools
- Vulnerability Assessment and Mitigation
- Align with ITSM processes and enterprise lifecycle guidelines
- Create and apply global vulnerability management groups, including
- Discovery, prioritization, vulnerability assessment, and remediation
- Security Configuration and Compliance Monitoring
- Implement risk-based models that incorporate:
- Threat Intelligence and Risk Assessment
- Vulnerability Assessment and Risk Exposure
- Establish enterprise-wide policies and incentive standards
- Define and test the global strategy for vulnerability management and security configuration across infrastructure devices in cloud, managed, and unmanaged environments.
Requirements
- 10+ years in cybersecurity with extensive experience in vulnerability management and security engineering
- Proven success in building and scaling enterprise programs
- Strong background in:
- Infrastructure and Security Operations
- Configuration Management and Hardening
- Orchestration and integration platform solutions
- Twist's track record in large-scale transformation initiatives

- This is a full-time position. NTRD HI and NTRD PTO will be provided based on employment needs.
- Salary Range: $160,000 - $200,000 USD
- The salary range is a good-faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust offers a competitive benefits package, including retirement benefits (401(k) account), health care, life insurance, cash, and wellness benefits. For employees located in New York or the New York metropolitan area, benefits may include a wellness program. Northern Trust also offers a discretionary bonus program based on equity compensation.
