Global Head of Equity Portfolio Management
The position of Global Head of Equity Portfolio Management at EFG International in London involves responsibility for global equity selection, models, and funds, as well as leading a team of equity analysts. The candidate should have experience managing global equity research and portfolios and possess strong analytical and communication skills.
Job Description
Responsible for global equity selection, models, and funds.Duties and Responsibilities
The main tasks include:- Create equity portfolio models based on geography, sectors, or other factors for global DPM implementations.
- Fundamental stock analysis of individual stocks to support the stock screening process.
- Effectively manage a team of equity analysts to improve and optimize the equity analysis process.
- Preparing and reviewing equity notes as part of the stock screening process to stay up to date.
- Maintaining notes in the relevant database.
- Communicating with other portfolio managers worldwide to support them in managing large, customized portfolios.
- Management of global individual-stock portfolios and, potentially, UK multi-asset portfolios.
- Communicating analyses and results to team members and the rest of EFG.
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to the acquisition of assets in DPM.
- Delivering a robust investment process and a rational rationale for equity portfolios.
- Achieve long-term benchmark performance (3 years) in a risk-managed manner.
Skills and experience
Required qualifications and skills:- Extensive experience in managing global equity research and portfolio construction.
- A degree in a quantitative or economic field (2.1 classification or higher).
- Demonstrable understanding of products and the regulatory framework.
- Strong technical/digital skills – experience with SharePoint (preferred).
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with fluency in English.
- Economic Background.
- Ability to present data in a meaningful way—using KPIs and charts for senior stakeholders.
- Strong IT skills, particularly proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong Excel spreadsheet skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented and able to develop effective working relationships.
