Global Mobility Manager

The Global Mobility Manager at Julius Baer is responsible for managing international assignments and transfers and supports employees with their international relocations. Job description

As a Global Mobility Manager (80–100%), you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of international assignments and transfers. This includes approval processes, compensation packages, pre-assignment briefings, and the execution of international transfers.

Tasks

  • Management of the entire lifecycle of international assignments and transfers (e.g., approval process, compensation package, pre-assignment briefing, implementation)
  • Management of market data for compensation packages in accordance with applicable guidelines
  • Facilitation of cost management for assignments and management of policy exceptions in accordance with the exception procedure
  • Management of global social security, pension, life, and health insurance for mobile employees
  • Coordination of entry and work permits with local HR departments and external service providers
  • Overseeing the annual compensation review and annual withholding tax for cross-border employees and international assignments
  • Assistance with selecting suppliers, arranging external services, and monitoring service quality (e.g., tax services, relocation services, entry and residency regulations, global health insurance)
  • Assisting the Business Travel Compliance Specialist as needed
  • Administration of international pension, life insurance, and health plans, including the enrollment of new members, the termination of members, and communication with members and HR stakeholders
  • Promoting continuous improvement and scalability of global mobility processes, templates, and tools; implementing automation; and monitoring KPIs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in banking, finance, business administration, economics, or human resources
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in global mobility at a large multinational company or as a consultant
  • A strong understanding of current and future types of international missions
  • A solid understanding of off-the-books wages and Swiss income tax; broader knowledge of cross-border taxation is preferred
  • Knowledge of global tax and social security systems and the related issues in cross-border taxation
  • Knowledge of business travel compliance issues is a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
