Global Network Manager 100% (f/m/d)

The Global Network Manager is responsible for managing and developing strategies for relationships with custodian and cash correspondent banks at Julius Baer. The role involves actively managing these relationships, negotiating fees, and monitoring contracts and services.

Your challenge

As Global Network Manager, you will be responsible for managing assigned custodian and cash correspondent relationships on a global basis, which includes the following:
  • Active management of agent-bank relationships, conducting regular service meetings, service reviews, and due diligence reviews; actively monitoring and managing service delivery for Bank Julius Baer
  • Negotiating and managing fees to ensure an understanding of costs, trends, and ideas for achieving cost savings
  • Monitoring contracts, negotiating, and preparing the necessary documentation for these relationships
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement continuous front-to-back process optimization across the network
  • Understanding market developments, trends, and opportunities for Bank Julius Baer and communicating them to stakeholders
  • Maintain a deep understanding of custody rules and a strong ability to apply that knowledge to support internal advisory and consulting efforts that address business and client needs
  • Develop in-depth expertise in custody and payments to provide guidance to client-facing units on local account opening requirements, market custody rules, and service issues
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with all key internal stakeholders related to custody and cash correspondent services
  • Immediate and effective response to market-specific inquiries and escalations from business, operations, or other colleagues
  • Work as part of a team to support colleagues at markets and with tasks as needed
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives within Bank Julius Baer, as needed
  • Took the necessary steps with internal and external colleagues to resolve identified issues and ensure market compliance
  • Contributing to the creation of a culture of openness, enthusiasm, and curiosity within the team and the company

Your profile

  • Relevant experience in a network management, financial institution, relationship management, or customer-focused role in a banking environment is preferred
  • Proven track record in managing suppliers and/or internal stakeholders, ideally in connection with custodians and cash correspondents
  • At least a general understanding of custody operations, market rules, and cash operations, as well as correspondent services
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners
