The Global Payments Solutions Sales Manager will support the development and growth of HSBC's Commercial Banking business lines by working closely with clients and teams to develop and sell payments solutions. The candidate should have corporate banking and treasury experience and be able to work under pressure and lead teams.

Global Payments Solutions Sales Manager

Tasks

As Global Payments Solutions Sales Manager, you will help to improve and grow our business areas. Your main tasks are:
  • Work closely with the CIB Coverage team and GPS sales teams to identify and develop business opportunities, together with corporate and institutional clients and the rest of HSBC.
  • Take on a needs-based advisory role to understand customer requirements and provide appropriate cash management solutions to meet their needs.
  • Coordinate and collaborate effectively with the HSBC team across segments and functions to develop appropriate solutions, advise on value and benefits, and bring products to customers.
  • Build and lead the GPS product team on the competitive environment and customer developments and progress.
  • Proactively engage with global and regional stakeholders to develop and propose credit facilities for CIB, positioned according to risk and value to CIB.
  • Achieve targeted financial and non-financial goals.
  • Work closely with the GPS implementation, integration and customer service teams to ensure a smooth transition of new business and proactively provide ongoing support.
  • Allow relationship teams to focus on upselling new business, the competitive environment, regulatory changes, etc. to anticipate and prepare for market opportunities and customer expectations.
  • Maintain comprehensive sales records as an important means of tracking sales performance and quality.

Requirements

  • Experience in a corporate banking environment
  • Experience/knowledge of treasury, liquidity and cash management products - a certificate in International Cash Management would be an advantage
  • Ability to work under pressure with key performance indicators
  • Ability to work on a cross-regional and cross-functional level
  • Experience in leading, influencing and coaching sales teams
  • Strong numerical skills, proactive and performance driven with the ability to formulate and articulate sales strategies
  • Good communication, presentation, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to deal with pressure in a fast-growing and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple high priority and high profile projects

Requirements (language and residence permit)

  • Fluent in German, Swiss German and/or French would be an advantage
  • Due to immigration restrictions in Switzerland, we can only consider applications from Swiss or EU citizens or candidates with a valid B-Gew work permit.
