GPS Associate Programs - Investment Advisor (GC)
The GPS Associate Program - Investment Advisor is a two-year development program for ambitious young professionals who are interested in pursuing a career in private banking. It offers rotation-based training to become an investment advisor. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will work as investment advisors within GPS.
Job description
Tasks
- Client management (internal & external):
- Preparation of client investment proposals and customized portfolio and investment recommendations
- Support with presentations for customers and prospects (e.g., presentation materials, investment insights, market research, customer inquiries)
- Business management:
- Supporting the team's strategic and operational goals, promoting business results and successes
- Identification of opportunities to improve functional efficiency and productivity, proposal of process improvements and workflow optimizations, where relevant/appropriate
- Regulatory responsibilities B/R & risk management:
- Fulfillment of all legal, regulatory and compliance standards/requirements
- Compliance with the standards and expectations set forth in the Invest user manuals and guidelines
- Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards of honesty and integrity, diligence and conscientiousness, fair dealing (fair treatment of customers), management of conflicts of interest, compliance with laws and regulations, and effective risk management, as well as compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Professional and technical skills
- 2-3 years of professional experience (including internships)
- Relevant higher education and professional background (banking, finance, business administration, economics, or a related field)
- Good knowledge of financial analysis
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in Mandarin is required to work with and support Mandarin-speaking customers; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations and requirements
- Understanding cross-border interest rates and regulations
