Job Description:

As we are expanding our structured products & derivatives platform, with full end-to-end ownership across the product lifecycle, we are looking for a Product Owner to lead the product lifecycle, ensuring that products are developed and delivered to plan.

Key Features and Accountabilities:

People Management

  • Contribute to the strengthening of the team spirit and the fostering of a collaborative work environment
  • Motivate and share feedback to other team members to improve overall performance

Stakeholder management

  • Collaborate closely with product managers and business owners to understand client and market needs, ensuring the product roadmap is in line with overall bank's strategy and enable growth opportunities
  • Develop cases and define product features based on inputs from business owner and business representative
  • Continuously prioritize features/ stories with business owners based on business cases and implementation costs
  • Understand the system implications of the new product and identify roadblocks and dependencies with other features
  • Provide direction to agile teams to ensure work focuses on items with maximum value aligned with representative

GPS Product Owner Asia

  • Understand the front to back flow of product issuance
  • Work with various risk functions to identify, assess and mitigate potential risks associated with the new product
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders (i.e. IT, accounting, operation, risk teams) to understand the system implications of the new product. Specify requirements, identify and resolve roadblocks
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to new product implementation
  • Participate in testing and quality assurance process, create testing protocol, document testing results and collect sign off of test cases
  • Ensure the new product is operationally ready for distribution (i.e. client & product suitability checks)
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the process, identifying areas for efficiency gains and implementing best practices

Regulatory Responsibilities & OR Risk Management

  • Meet all legal, regulatory and compliance requirements while implementing products
  • Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviors including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, compliance and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
