Job description: GPS Product Owner Asia

Tasks

• Responsible for the development and maintenance of sustainable products (services, applications or tools) that meet customer needs throughout the product lifecycle, under the leadership of the Product Manager (PM)
• Developing a vision for structured products and derivatives platforms with full responsibility over the entire product life cycle
• Understanding business cases and defining clear, value-driven product features in close collaboration with key stakeholders
• Understanding and documenting all requirements from a production and sales perspective
• Management of front-to-back product implementation, testing and lifecycle from conception to release
• Ensuring maximum value with minimum effort
• Proactively research and analyze the market, users and latest trends in the industry to constantly evolve the product roadmap
• Regular dialog with various front-line representatives and senior management level to stay informed about customer needs and requirements
• Build effective relationships across the bank to optimize knowledge of the business and its latest products and services

Stakeholder management

• Work closely with product managers and business owners to understand customer and market requirements and develop the product roadmap accordingly
• Develop business cases and define product features based on input from business owners and representatives
• Continuous prioritization of features/stories with business owners based on business cases and implementation costs
• Understanding the system implications of the new product and identifying obstacles and dependencies with other functions
• Guidelines for agile teams to ensure work is focused on elements of maximum value

• Understanding the front-to-back flow of product emissions
• Collaboration with various risk functions to identify, assess and mitigate potential risks of the new product
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (IT, accounting, operations, risk management) to understand system implications of the new product and specify requirements
• Preparation and maintenance of documentation in connection with the implementation of new products
• Participation in test and quality assurance processes, creation of test protocols, documentation of test results and obtaining acceptance of test cases
• Ensuring that the new product is ready for distribution (customer and product suitability tests)
• Continuous evaluation and improvement of processes, identification of efficiency gains and implementation of best practices

Regulatory responsibilities and ORI risk management

• Adherence to all legal, regulatory and compliance-relevant standards/requirements when implementing products
• Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards of honesty and integrity, care and diligence, fair treatment (fair treatment of clients), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
