**GPS Risk Manager (Asia)**

The GPS Risk Manager (Asia) is responsible for monitoring GPS products, services and processes in Asia with regard to reputational, operational and non-financial risks. The employee is expected to identify and assess risks and develop solutions to mitigate them.

Job description: GPS Risk Manager (Asia)

Tasks

  • Monitoring of all GPS products, services and processes in relation to reputational, operational and/or non-financial risks in Asia
  • Identification and assessment of associated risks and provision of innovative solutions to mitigate risks if/when relevant
  • Develop, maintain, optimize, implement and execute an effective risk management and control framework in accordance with regulatory expectations and internal policies
  • Assist with regular internal audits and internal controls, including control design, administrative matters and test execution
  • Advising stakeholders on risk-related topics and providing information on key risks
  • Analysis, identification and development of new solutions for the optimization/automation of control processes with a focus on risk management and mitigation measures
  • Implementation of training courses on risk-related topics
  • Proactive identification and assessment of key risks and, if/where relevant, proposal of solutions for risk management/mitigation
  • Monitoring the regulatory landscape, industry trends and global minimum standards and conducting impact assessments if/where relevant for GPS in Asia

Requirements

Personal requirements

Professional and technical requirements

  • 7 years or more experience in private banking, particularly in a risk advisory/control/compliance role
  • Relevant higher education and professional background
  • Familiarity with investment products and services and the associated risks
  • Strong commercial judgment, business acumen and a broad understanding of financial markets and products

Regulatory requirements

  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations and requirements in Singapore and/or Hong Kong
  • Understanding of cross-border rules and regulations
