GPS Strategy & Business Development Project Leader

The position of GPS Strategy & Business Development Project Leader at Julius Baer in Zurich involves responsibility for developing and implementing the global strategy for GPS, including identifying new business opportunities and collaborating with various teams. The incumbent will be responsible for defining and supporting the team’s goals and ambitions to drive the company’s success.

Your challenge

Her primary responsibilities include developing and implementing the global strategic agenda for GPS. This involves steering strategic growth initiatives that align with the bank’s overall strategy, ensuring strong alignment across regions, and addressing customer needs.

Tasks

The tasks include:
  • Client management (internal and external)
  • Leading global strategic growth initiatives that align with the Group’s overall strategic priorities
  • Collaborating with GPS business owners to identify and evaluate new business opportunities and develop growth plans
  • Supporting teams in project and change management activities
  • Collaborate with Group Strategy and Group Finance to support the implementation of strategic initiatives

management

The tasks include:
  • Define and manage the team's objectives in consultation with the Head of GPS Strategy & Business Development (Switzerland and Europe)
  • Creating presentations that present complex data and qualitative insights in a clear and understandable way
  • Support in the development and delivery of strategy papers, market analyses, and recommendations for senior managers at GPS
  • Support for strategic partnerships and joint ventures, as well as for inorganic business opportunities (e.g., M&A, establishment of joint ventures) from a GPS perspective
  • Overseeing the launch of new business projects and initiatives outside the Agile Release Train (e.g., alternatives, global sales processes)
  • Monitoring of new technologies, innovations, disruptions, and current market trends in global markets
  • Providing input and updates to GPS for various management committees

Regulatory responsibilities and risk management

The tasks include:
  • Compliance with all legal, regulatory, and compliance standards
  • Compliance with the standards and expectations set forth in the relevant user manuals and guidelines
  • Demonstrating appropriate values and behaviors, including, but not limited to, standards of honesty and integrity, diligence and prudence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), and conflict management

Leadership, management, and supervisory responsibilities
