GPS Strategy & Business Development Project Leader

The position of GPS Strategy & Business Development Project Leader at Julius Baer in Zurich involves responsibility for developing and implementing global strategic initiatives in the GPS division, including leading projects and collaborating with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have experience in strategy development, project management, and leadership, and be able to analyze and present complex data sets.

Your challenge

The primary responsibilities include developing and implementing the global strategic agenda for GPS. These include:
  • Managing global strategic growth initiatives that align with the bank's overall strategy
  • Working closely with GPS business owners to identify and foster new business opportunities and partnerships
  • Support for all GPS teams in project and change management activities
  • Close collaboration with Group Strategy and Group Finance to support the implementation of strategic initiatives

management

The tasks include:
  • Defining and managing the team's objectives in consultation with the Head of GPS Strategy and Business Development (Switzerland and Europe)
  • The synthesis of complex datasets and qualitative insights into clear, precise, and visually appealing presentations
  • Support in the development and delivery of high-quality strategy documents, market analyses, and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders within GPS
  • Support for strategic partnerships and joint ventures, as well as inorganic business opportunities (e.g., M&A, establishment of joint ventures) from a GPS perspective
  • Managing the rollout of new business projects and key initiatives outside the Agile Release Train (e.g., alternatives, global sales processes)
  • Monitoring new technologies, innovations, disruptions, and current market trends in global markets
  • Providing input and updates on GPS to the various management committees

Regulatory responsibilities and risk management

The tasks include:
  • Compliance with all legal, regulatory, and compliance standards and requirements
  • Compliance with the standards and expectations set forth in the relevant user manuals and guidelines
  • Demonstrating appropriate values and behaviors, including, but not limited to, standards of honesty and integrity, diligence and prudence, fair treatment (equitable treatment of customers), and conflict management

Management and Oversight

The requirements include:
  • Motivating and leading the team to improve overall performance
