GPS Strategy & Business Development Project Leader – Zurich (f/m/d)

As a GPS Strategy & Business Development Project Leader at Julius Baer in Zurich, you will drive global strategic growth initiatives and manage stakeholders and new business opportunities. The position requires approximately 5 years of experience in private banking as well as in-depth knowledge of GPS topics such as loans and structured products.

YOUR CHALLENGE

Stakeholder management (internal and external)

  • Drive global strategic growth initiatives that align with the Group’s overall strategic priorities
  • Partner with GPS business owners and stewards to identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships, and outline growth plans
  • Support all GPS teams in project and change management activities
  • Work closely with Group Strategy and Group Finance to support the end-to-end execution of strategic initiatives

Business Management

  • Define and drive the team's ambitions and objectives in consultation with the Head of GPS Strategy & Business Development (Switzerland & Europe)
  • Synthesize complex data sets and qualitative insights into clear, concise, and visually compelling presentations
  • Support the development and delivery of high-quality strategy papers, market analyses, and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders across GPS
  • Evaluate strategic partnerships and joint ventures, as well as inorganic business opportunities (e.g., M&A and the establishment of joint ventures), from a GPS perspective
  • Drive a “front-to-back” rollout of new business projects and key initiatives in line with established IT delivery governance, ensuring that objectives, ownership, and tangible outcomes are clearly defined and tracked
  • Monitor emerging innovations, technologies, disruptions, and the latest market trends across global markets
  • Provide GPS data and updates to the various management committees
  • Regulatory responsibilities and/or risk management

YOUR PROFILE

  • Solid banking knowledge, particularly in GPS-related areas such as lending, structured products, and ultra-high-net-worth client advisory services
  • Approximately 5 years or more of knowledge and experience in private banking
  • Relevant higher education and professional background
  • Strong financial analytical skills
  • Driven to achieve goals and able to work under pressure
  • Strong ability to plan, organize, and communicate a clear vision
