GPS Wealth Planning Business Risk Manager, Zurich, 100% (f/m/d)
As a GPS Wealth Planning Business Risk Manager at Julius Baer in Zurich, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the risk and control framework for the Wealth Planning division. Your responsibilities include identifying and mitigating risks, advising stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Tasks
- As a GPS Wealth Planning Business Risk Manager, you play a critical role in maintaining the effectiveness of controls within the WP subunit and in identifying and mitigating potential risks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- You are the point of contact for Wealth Planning (WP) and Business Risk Management for the GPS Division, provide expert advice and risk consulting to stakeholders, and ensure that key risks are addressed.
- Design, implement, evaluate, and maintain the control risk framework for GPS to mitigate the control landscape of the audit subunit in alignment with the Bank's internal controls.
- Manage the effectiveness of controls throughout the audit subunit; identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and controls.
- Assess the impact of changes to bank-wide policies and ensure that adjustments are incorporated into internal controls and management practices.
- Centralized management of the internal control tool for the audit subunit (e.g., creating new controls, editing existing controls, assigning roles as needed).
- Providing targeted training to foster a culture of risk awareness and risk management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness by proposing process and control enhancements to increase efficiency and mitigate key business risks.
- Representing the GPS unit on bank-wide committees, projects, and working groups that address relevant risks and/or control issues.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education, preferably in the fields of banking and finance, management, economics, law, accounting, or a related field.
- Additional training in the areas of financial markets, financial planning, or risk management is a major advantage.
- Relevant professional experience: More than 5 years of professional experience in the financial services or banking industry, with a focus on risk, legal, compliance, or a background in wealth planning or credit risk.
- Fluency in English (knowledge of German is a major advantage).
- Authorization to work in the country where the application is filed.
