Graduate in Non-Financial Risks and Risk Governance

Job description

The Non-Financial Risks and Risk Governance department is looking for a new colleague in Lisbon to manage operational risks within the group. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Non-Financial Risks and Risk Governance and will work with colleagues from the front line in various business areas.

Tasks

• Support with operational risk assessments, scenario analyses, and other risk analyses (operational risk, operational resilience, fraud, sustainability risk, etc.)
• Support in identifying, assessing, and continuously monitoring operational risks in the areas of trading, product development, and support functions
• Investigation of operational risk cases or near misses, performing root cause analyses, and providing support in implementing corrective measures
• Support in preparing presentations, policy updates, and reports in the area of non-financial risks and risk governance
• Implementation of risk training courses on the internal platform and monitoring of their implementation
• Support in preparing reports for the board of directors and senior management on operational risks
• Support with regulatory tasks and supervisory interactions (e.g., FINMA and EU regulatory authorities)
• Definition, maintenance, and updating of key risk indicators and key performance indicators

Requirements

• Master's degree in business administration, finance, economics, behavioral science, social or organizational psychology, or a quantitative subject (engineering, computer science, data science, physics, mathematics)
• Quick learner with a high level of professionalism and tact
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively, both in writing and in presentations
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to think critically and question when necessary
• Team player mentality and passion for work
• IT skills: MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
• Language skills: Full professional proficiency in English

Nice to Have

• Relevant professional experience in non-financial risks/operational risks or in a Big Four company, financial institution, or consulting firm is a plus.
• Coding skills (SQL, Python)
• Fluency in Portuguese or German
