GRADUATE IN RISK (INDEPENDENT PRICE VERIFICATION)

Job description

As a Graduate in Risk (Independent Price Verification), you will be based at Leonteq in Lisbon and will focus on independent price verification.

Tasks

You will:

• Report to the Head of Independent Price Verification (IPV) in Zurich
• Participate in IPV activities, which include underlying assets and derivatives for various asset classes such as equities, funds, credit, foreign exchange, interest rates, bonds, commodities, and cryptocurrencies
• Participate in specific projects and working groups
• Contribute to the further development, improvement, and automation of IPV tools and processes in close collaboration with the IT department
• Review and test new developments
• Work with the Trading, Treasury, Middle Office, IT, Accounting, and Project Management teams
• Conduct quality controls to ensure the integrity of bookings and trading records
• Conduct ad hoc analyses on various risk and valuation topics

Training and Development

The training program includes:

• Derivatives: Multi-Asset, Greeks, Hedging Techniques
• Structured products: Use, presentation, risks
• Systems: Sophis, Bloomberg, Refinitiv
• analytical techniques
• Risk control framework – assessment and product control
• Process and Control Design and Analysis

Requirements

You should:

• Hold a master’s degree in finance, financial engineering, or a quantitative discipline
• Pay attention to details
• Have strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Have knowledge of simple derivatives
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, VBA, Word, PowerPoint)
• Have a basic understanding of databases (SQL) and Python
• Be a team player
• Speak and write English fluently
