Group Financial Controller
EFG International is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to lead the company’s financial controlling functions and implement strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing the Group’s financial operations. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team in Geneva and will be responsible for managing financial projects, driving process improvements, and overseeing financial operations.
Job description
As Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role in our team and drive the transformation of our financial controlling function. Your main responsibilities will include:- Management of the ICS and control framework process for the Group
- Management of procedures and the formation of accounting policies
- Management of the Group’s balance sheet optimization as well as the capital and dividend flows of subsidiaries worldwide
- Monitoring the evolution of chart of accounts, leading discussions on consolidation tools and general accounting/ERP
- Optimization of financial processes and systems
- Coordination with local CFOs and management of the Global CFO
project management
You will lead and manage financial projects from initiation to completion. This includes:- Preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Presentations to the ExCo and GBC
- Monitoring project progress and making adjustments as needed to ensure successful project implementation
process improvement
You will identify opportunities for process improvements and propose solutions. These include:- Process evaluation (from start to finish); identification and targeted resolution of bottlenecks
- Comprehensive management of ongoing developments
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field
- Banking experience is considered a plus
- Qualified auditor with experience outside of auditing
- At least 8-10 years of experience in a similar role
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering results
- Fluent spoken and written English, French, German, and/or Italian are an advantage.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and corporate law
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring, as well as exceptional interpersonal and soft skills
