Group Financial Controller

EFG International is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to lead the company's financial controlling and implement strategic initiatives to optimize financial operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 8-10 years of experience in a similar role and a broad range of skills, including project management, process optimization, and communication skills.

Job Description

As Group Financial Controller, you will play an important role in our team and drive forward the transformation of our financial control framework. Your main tasks will include:
  • Management of the ICS and control framework process for the Group
  • Management of procedures and transformation of accounting policies
  • Management of the Group's balance sheet optimization and global capital and dividend flows from subsidiaries
  • Responsibility for the evolution of the chart of accounts, leading discussions on consolidation tools and general accounting/ERP
  • Optimization of financial processes and systems
  • Coordination with local CFOs and management of the Global CFO

project management

You will lead and manage financial projects from initiation to completion. This includes:
  • Preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Presentations to the ExCo and GBC
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments to ensure successful project implementation.

process improvement

You will identify opportunities for process improvements and propose solutions. These include:
  • Process analysis (from start to finish); identification and targeted elimination of bottlenecks
  • Holistic management of ongoing developments

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a similar field
  • Banking experience is considered a plus
  • Qualified auditor with experience outside of auditing
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects and achieving results
  • Fluent spoken and written English, French, German, and/or Italian are a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and corporate law
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
