Group Financial Controller

EFG International is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to lead the company's financial control activities and implement strategic initiatives to optimize financial operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 8-10 years of experience in a similar role and excellent project management and communication skills.

Job description

As Group Financial Controller, you will join our dynamic team and drive the transformation of our financial control framework. This key role will lead strategic initiatives to optimize our financial operations at the group level.

Main tasks

  • Management of the ICS and control framework process for the Group
  • Management of procedures and the formation of accounting policies
  • Management of the Group’s balance sheet optimization as well as the capital and dividend flows of subsidiaries worldwide
  • Overseeing the chart of accounts development process, leading discussions on consolidation tools and general ledgers/ERP systems
  • Optimization of Financial Processes and Systems
  • Coordination with local CFOs and management of the Global CFO

project management

  • Management and administration of financial projects from inception to completion
  • Preparation of project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Presentations to the ExCo and GBC
  • Monitoring project progress and making adjustments as needed to ensure successful project implementation

process improvement

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and recommending solutions
  • Process evaluation (from start to finish); identification and targeted resolution of bottlenecks
  • Holistic management of ongoing developments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a similar field
  • Banking experience is considered a plus
  • Qualified auditor with experience outside of auditing
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering results
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken), French, German, and/or Italian is a plus
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and corporate law
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring, as well as exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
