We are looking for a Group Financial Controller who will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of consolidated financial and regulatory reports. The individual will join a team of 8, including members of the EFGB Executive Committee. They will work directly with the CFO and hold the title of Group Financial Controller.Tasks:
- Assistance, participation and/or preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS and Swiss GAAP, ensuring proper integration and intra-group elimination;
- Assistance, participation and/or preparation of consolidated financial reports (annual and semi-annual) under IFRS and Swiss GAAP, including performing consistency checks, reviewing notes and disclosures of subsidiaries;
- Assisting, participating and/or preparing consolidated regulatory reporting, including regulatory capital adequacy reporting, supervisory reporting, comprehensive year-end statistics, etc., ensuring data accuracy, reconciliation with consolidated accounts and timely submission;
- Assist, participate and/or prepare annual and semi-annual Pillar 3 disclosures, review compliance with regulatory requirements;
- Assist, participate and/or review consolidated liquidity (LCR, NSFR and LMT) and interest rate risk (IR) reports by performing reconciliations, plausibility checks, variance analysis and ensuring regulatory compliance;
- Assist, participate and/or update group-wide reporting procedures and prepare instructions for subsidiaries to ensure consistency and adherence to deadlines;
- Assist, participate and/or track new IASB and Swiss accounting standards as applicable to banks and FINMA regulatory changes that may impact financial reporting and regulatory provisions, such as capital adequacy, liquidity ratios, ESG reporting, SBN provisions, etc;
- Assisting and supporting the CFO with ad hoc projects and analyses requested by the CFO;
- The person must have or develop their expertise in the above areas to be able to act as a temporary replacement for the CFO in coordination with the CEO if required.
Requirements:
- Mid-level finance professional with previous experience in banking or financial audit of Swiss banks with a major international audit firm;
- Proven expertise in financial consolidation (IFRS and Swiss GAAP);
- Good knowledge of banking law reporting (FINMA, Basel III, SNB requirements);
- Experience with internal controls: Reconciliations, variance analyses, plausibility checks;
- Organizational skills;
- Flexibility, ability to integrate and interact with a team spirit, given the size of the unit, and ability to communicate effectively with other parts of the EFG organization.
