IT Help Desk Team Leader (80–100%)

St.Galler Kantonalbank is seeking an experienced manager to serve as IT Helpdesk Team Leader, responsible for organizing, managing, and further developing the IT Helpdesk. The IT Helpdesk is the go-to resource for technical support—dedicated professionals handle our employees’ issues and questions, and work with their team to find solutions to even the most complex problems. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced manager for the IT Helpdesk. In this role, you will be responsible for the organization, management, and further development of the IT Helpdesk and will actively shape its future.

Requirements

  • You have a knack for organization, are consistent, and take a solution-oriented approach to your professional development—and you ensure that our help desk operations run smoothly in collaboration with two managers, service call teams, operations teams, and suppliers.
  • You standardize and optimize help desk processes and workflows—with confidence—with the goal of significantly improving efficiency, service quality, and user experience.
  • Through coordination, empathy, commitment, and leadership, you foster team cohesion, integrate new team members as quickly as possible, leverage individual strengths, instill a sense of purpose, and inspire your team to achieve shared success.

What you bring with you

  • You have a basic degree in computer science or have completed a short course in business informatics or business administration.
  • Approximately 8 years of experience in IT support or IT service management, specifically within an established industry, form the core of my professional background.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, and network environments, as well as a basic understanding of IT security requirements.
  • You have experience in conceptual work, as well as at least two years of leadership or project management experience.
  • You are a proactive, dynamic, and thoughtful person. You are conscientious, persistent, and accustomed to communicating in a way that is tailored to your audience; you think and act in a solution-oriented manner.
