Head COO Asia Business Management

The Head COO Asia Business Management supports the COO Asia in implementing the Bank's growth strategy by providing reliable, scalable and efficient platforms and services for the front office functions. Responsibilities include leading projects, managing budgets and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.

Job description

Tasks

  • Client Management (internal):
    • Deliver strategic/regional projects for COO Asia to support business growth in the region
    • As Singapore TPRM and Outsourcing Coordinator: maintain outsourcing register, manage risks of TPRM and outsourcing arrangements of BJB Singapore and ensure compliance with local policy and regulation
    • Lead COO culture and values program within the COO area and work with headquarters to ensure alignment with appropriate global programs
  • Business Management:
    • Prepare management reports for global, regional and local management committees involving COO Asia
    • Manage financial and personnel budget for COO Asia and ensure cost discipline in the department
    • Adapt and maintain COO Asia policies to ensure compliance with local regulations and support COO Asia in the implementation of policies
    • Manage COO Asia's change-the-bank budget, ensure costs are within target
    • Track open audit items, ensure follow-up and timely closure
    • Lead cross-divisional initiatives to recommend and deliver solutions that favor business growth and frontline efficiencies as well as risk and control compliance
  • Regulatory responsibilities and/or risk management:
    • Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards of honesty and integrity, reasonable care and diligence, fair treatment (fair treatment of clients), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, appropriate risk management and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements

Personal and social skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently under pressure
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and maintain positive working relationships across departments

Professional and technical skills

  • Min. Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant professional experience in private banking
  • Deep understanding of the private banking business and back-office operations
  • Experience in team leadership to achieve a set goal
  • Experience in planning and managing change-the-bank initiatives
  • Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
