We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer to lead our team of Database Engineers in Zurich and be responsible for the delivery and evolution of enterprise-grade database services. The new hire will drive both on-premises excellence and cloud transformations.

Tasks
- Lead a team of database engineers both technically and organizationally
- Ensuring the provision of stable, secure, high-performance and cost-effective database services based on Oracle RDBMS and Microsoft SQL Server
- Driving the transformation of database services to Azure and Oracle Cloud
- Introduction and integration of PostgreSQL into our platform portfolio
- Close collaboration with infrastructure and application teams for seamless operations
- Continuous improvement of service quality and engineering standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in technology, engineering or a related field
- Strong expertise in Oracle RDBMS and Microsoft SQL Server technologies
- Deep understanding of HA/DR, backup/restore, performance optimization and troubleshooting practices for mission-critical database services
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, SQL)
- Solid understanding of the underlying Linux and/or Windows operating system environments
