Head of Human Resources, Singapore
The Head of Human Resources Singapore at Julius Baer leads the HR team and is responsible for strategic human resources and cultural management, as well as the implementation of HR strategies in Singapore. The position requires at least five years of experience in HR management and involves responsibilities in the areas of talent management, compliance, and risk management.
Tasks
- Responsible for managing the team of HR consultants in Singapore.
- Planning and managing reporting line roles within a dedicated operational area.
- Responsibility for the overall business environment in Singapore.
- Supporting the COO's daily objectives in the context of service and operations functions.
- Personnel Management Team Leader for People and Culture Management for the selected position/reporting line roles.
- A key role in implementing our strategic goals, supporting talent management, and developing our talent pool.
- Ensuring that every new member complies with all relevant policies, guidelines, rules, and procedures in accordance with legal requirements (e.g., labor laws, employment regulations, etc.) to promote the ethical and fair treatment of employees.
- Conducting all relevant interviews, selection processes, assessments, and reference checks for potential candidates.
- Manage employee performance across all roles by establishing clear KPIs and monitoring progress and achievements.
- HR lead for the organization, as required by European departments (including, but not limited to: Human Resources, Business Development, Marketing, and Sales Support) and local counterparts (including, but not limited to: HR consulting, recruitment, and Learning & Development functions).
- Perform all roles under the guidance of senior management, including line managers and HR business partners.

- Supporting and implementing all HR and people management strategies for the benefit of our business.
- In particular, supporting the work of the business unit managers (Group Management, Business Unit Development, Strategy Management) and assisting them with their management responsibilities at our bank.
- Responsible for the strategic implementation of human resources management (including compensation and performance management) in accordance with our corporate culture, governance, and the legal framework.
- Collaborate with the relevant HR and functional specialists to create an environment that fosters collaboration across the organization and contributes to our efforts to deliver outstanding business solutions.
- An active member of our risk function by implementing and monitoring compliance with our Code of Conduct and our values.
- Ensuring and monitoring compliance with relevant legislation, particularly with regard to compliance requirements governing the management and operation of business units.
- Application of the Principles and Guidelines on Governance and Conduct.
- Identification and management of counterparty risks, operational risks, and business risks arising from interactions across functional areas and geographic regions.
- Immediately report to Group Credit Protection if significant risks arise for our customers, suppliers, owners, and employees.
