Head of Alternatives & Private Markets Technology, Senior Vice President
The Head of Alternatives & Private Markets Technology is a leadership role responsible for the strategy and implementation of technology solutions for hedge funds and private markets businesses. The incumbent will drive the growth strategy for the business and build close relationships with clients and other parties.
Job description
Tasks
- Refining and executing growth strategy for a substantial, market-leading offering through strategic and business development initiatives
- Strategic and operational planning processes in partnership with other executives
- Identifying and developing relationships with customers and other third parties, and engaging C-level targets
- Definition of the development roadmap for the Alternative Investment Services and Private Markets program
- Monitoring the entire application deployment lifecycle (including testing, deployment, and L4 support)
- Partner with the company's leadership team to support planned solutions and customer onboarding
- Implementation of the application modernization strategy for transforming legacy applications into modern, scalable cloud-based solutions
- Build strong relationships with product and operations to understand business needs and deliver technology solutions
- Communicating with stakeholders about technology strategies and program status
- Establishing talent development strategies and promoting a culture of innovation and accountability
Requirements
Skills
- Deep expertise and proven success in leading and delivering enterprise-wide application development, tools, and technologies
- Experience in the financial services industry in the area of alternative investment services and private markets
- Proven experience in aligning technology solutions with complex business strategies and initiatives
- Experience leading multifunctional application transformation projects that deliver measurable results and business value, including risk reduction, resilience, simplicity, and reduced cost of ownership
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to achieve alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders, both internally and externally
Education and preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in application development with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role
- Ability to lead a large team globally
