The Head of Core Banking & Applications will be responsible for the enterprise application environment and optimizing the operation of core banking, CRM, reporting, HR, finance, and workplace systems. The role encompasses strategic leadership and operational management to ensure stability, compliance, and scalability.

Tasks
- Lead and inspire a small, highly skilled team that manages day-to-day operations and external service providers.
- Monitoring the entire lifecycle of our application landscape – ensuring availability, performance, and exceptional service quality.
- Promoting continuous improvement in vendor and service management, including SLA governance, performance monitoring, and escalation handling.
- Coordinate change, release, test, and incident management across departments and external partners to ensure smooth delivery.
- Take a leading role in bank-wide and group-wide initiatives that shape the future of our IT applications and digital capabilities.
Requirements
- Degree in (business) computer science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT banking in the area of operations or application management.
- Strong expertise in vendor and service management (SLA, escalation, governance).
- Experience in regulated environments (MaRisk, BAIT, DORA); ITIL/ISTQB a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of core banking and enterprise applications.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in German and English.
