  • We are looking for a Head of Credit Control & Collections who will drive our work forward by taking full charge of collections and helping us achieve our ambitious global growth goals.

What will you be doing?

  • As Head of Credit Control & Collections, you will be responsible for managing the company’s collections efforts, collaborating on a weekly basis with other members of the accounts receivable team and other members of the broader finance department. You will be responsible for building and leading the collections team within the company.
  • Develop and implement a collections strategy in collaboration with the broader accounts receivable team.
  • Define and implement the collections process in line with the broader accounts payable process.
  • Work closely with the Customer Support and Customer Success teams to resolve customer credit issues.
  • Manage day-to-day interactions and resolve issues with customers who have overdue invoices more than 30 days past due, with a focus on collecting payments.
  • Drive collection performance in collaboration with key stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Performance will be measured based on monthly recovery rates for past-due accounts and by maintaining our DSO levels within acceptable ranges.
  • Define KPIs and metrics to measure collections performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Create dashboards and performance metrics to inform and coach staff on best practices.
  • Work closely with risk management, finance, and cross-functional stakeholder teams to mitigate customer credit risk.
  • Lead the annual credit limit review by working closely with the credit team, collections, revenue, and risk.
  • Perform regular end-of-month and year-end cash receipt reconciliations
  • Lead Credit Control, Budgeting, and Forecasting

About You

  • A degree in business, accounting, finance, a quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, CPA, CA) is desirable
  • Experience in a fast-growing environment
  • Knowledge of effective credit control and collections processes, including, but not limited to:
  • Proven track record of exceptional collections management
  • Excellent working knowledge of accounting, IFRS, and IFRS 16—specifically IFRS 9
  • Extensive experience in the use and administration of Navan (QuickBooks)
  • A strong communicator who is able to articulate his or her opinions and get things done
  • A self-starter who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get things done as needed
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
