Head of Cyber Defense

Overview

- Head of Cyber Defense (all) - per December 1, 2025 - Home office option - Location-independent work - 80 - 100%

Tasks

• Ensuring the capabilities of threat management, threat detection, incident response & CSIRT, analysis of cyber threats
• Close collaboration with key stakeholders to promote threat sensing, clear value creation and absolute security
• Further development of the cyber defense strategy within People, Process & Technology in order to always be resilient to current and future cyber threats

Requirements

• 5 years of personnel and technical management of cyber security teams
• Master's degree (university, university of applied sciences) Risk Management, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Information Security, Cyber Security
• German (business fluent), English (good knowledge)
• Strong leadership and communication skills with clear and transparent statements for all levels - from engineer to management
• Strategic and systematic thinking, conceptual strengths and implementation skills for projects and programs to further develop cyber defense capabilities
• Decision-making and problem-solving skills in dealing with cyber threats, detection & incident response, processes and technologies in compliance with security frameworks (ISO, NIST, CIS, MITRE)
• Confident stakeholder management to position cyber security as a business and IT enabler
