The Head of Financial Institutions at EFG International is responsible for maintaining, managing and expanding relationships with external service providers and partners in custody, correspondent banking and clearing globally. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and be able to navigate the competitive environment.

Job description

Tasks

  • Maintaining our good relationships with external service providers and partners of EFG entities in the areas of custody, correspondent banking and clearing worldwide
  • Regular review, evaluation and monitoring of our network in accordance with internal and regulatory standards
  • Proactively dealing with developments and problems that arise
  • Risk management of our network
  • Negotiating terms and conditions with the aim of securing a competitive offer
  • Regular and transparent communication with our partners on important aspects such as business development, compliance aspects and regulatory trends
  • Pursuing technological advances in this area to ensure competitiveness
  • Coordination of the relationship with Thomas Murray as a service provider
  • Acting as senior escalation point for issues with third party financial institutions
  • Management of the Financial Institutions team as primus inter pares
  • Representing EFG beyond the front door
  • Internal stakeholder management with focus on EFG's operations teams as key customers
  • Contribution to various projects relating to the relationship with third-party financial institutions

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in a comparable position
  • Strong management skills
  • Strong situational communication and networking skills in English, French and other common languages
  • Diplomatic attitude
  • Disciplined with regard to regulatory, legal and internal rules and regulations
  • Good understanding of the financial market infrastructure
  • Flexible thinking and reliable in nature
