Head of FX Sales
EFG International is seeking a Head of FX Sales in Singapore to define and implement the FX sales strategy, as well as to lead and develop a team of FX sales professionals. The successful candidate should have extensive experience in FX sales within the private banking or investment banking sector and possess strong leadership skills.
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and strategically minded Head of FX Sales to join our Global Markets department. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing the FX sales strategy, leading and developing the FX sales team, and driving revenue growth for FX products.Key areas of responsibility
- Lead, manage, and develop the FX sales team in Singapore; foster a performance-driven and customer-focused culture; and be responsible for the performance of the FX sales team
- Translating the functional vision for FX sales into clear plans and priorities, and making a significant contribution to GM’s revenue targets
- Define and implement FX sales strategies to increase revenue from spot, forward, options, and structured FX products
- Collaborate with the private banking teams to identify opportunities for clients and provide tailored hedging and investment products
- Providing market information and actionable FX strategies based on macroeconomic trends and currency movements
- Collaborate with the trading team to ensure competitive pricing, efficient execution, and innovative product delivery
- Monitoring the sales pipeline, revenue forecasting, and performance reporting at both locations, and ensuring that revenue and profitability targets are met
- Ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks in Singapore and Hong Kong
- Driving product innovation and enhancing the FX value proposition within the private banking platform
- Mentoring and developing team members, strengthening technical expertise and customer engagement skills
- Representing FX sales in relevant internal forums and committees; managing relationships with diverse and senior stakeholders
Requirements
- Significant experience in FX sales within the FX markets at a private bank or investment bank, with a strong track record of success in Asia
- In-depth expertise in FX products, including derivatives and structured solutions
- Experience leading regional teams, ideally in Singapore and Hong Kong, with the ability to manage global client activities during Asian business hours
- Strong customer relationship skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex strategies
- A strong understanding of the regulatory environments in both jurisdictions
- A strategic thinker with strong execution skills and a keen business acumen
