Head of Global Financial Crime Consolidated Supervision & Deputy to the Global Head of Financial Crime

The Head of Global Financial Crime Consolidated Supervision & Deputy to the Global Head of Financial Crime is responsible for leading the Financial Crime Consolidated Supervision team and supporting the Global Head of Financial Crime Compliance in the implementation of Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) strategies. The incumbent will also act as Deputy to the Global Head of Financial Crime.

Tasks

  • Ensuring that the Group culture and compliance guidelines relating to Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) are known to all employees at Group, regional and local level and are widely applied;
  • Head of the Financial Crime Consolidated Supervision team;
  • Deputy to the Global Head of Financial Crime;
  • Define and update the FCC's global internal regulatory framework (policy/general directives/directives) according to annually defined plans and inform local units and escalate deviation requests to the relevant committees;
  • Checking whether the requirements for appropriate and efficient consolidated supervision by the Group of the local unit are met and escalation of deviation requests to the responsible committees;
  • Development and implementation of a compliance monitoring program for the Group companies, including regular reporting, ad hoc reporting (bottom-up and top-down) and regular on-site quality assessment programs;
  • Assist with the annual compliance risk assessment for FCC, identifying potential issues based on unit or group and/or single level findings;
  • Supporting management with regular and ad hoc reporting, tracking audit leads, etc;
  • Provision of expertise for FCC (including requirements for further developments).

Requirements

  • University degree in law or economics or equivalent;
  • Fluency in English (both oral and written); French and other national languages are an advantage;
  • Excellent knowledge of Swiss regulation (including the Swiss Criminal Code); impact analysis of regulatory changes;
  • Approx. 10 years of experience in the area of compliance financial crime in a Swiss private bank, ideally at group consolidation level;
  • Deep understanding of predicate offenses that can lead to money laundering (embezzlement, fraud, tax evasion, insider trading, corruption, organized crime, etc.);
  • Management and supervisory skills and experience of working with a small team;
  • Strong work organization and prioritization skills;
  • Delegation skills to ensure efficient use of team resources;
  • Ability to contribute to strategic planning and implementation and understanding of broader organizational goals;
  • Strong team player;
  • Availability for Travel.
