Head of Index Exotics Trading

Tasks

• Lead and manage the Index Exotic Trading Desk, including day-to-day risk, pricing, and execution • Drive P&L growth through market making, structuring opportunities, and strategic positioning • Monitor risk limits, hedging strategies, and capital utilization across a complex book • Partner with sales, structuring, and research to develop integrated solutions for institutional clients • Lead new product development across equity-linked notes, volatility and correlation strategies, and structured index exposures • Collaborate with compliance, model validation, and senior management to ensure regulatory and governance standards • Mentor and develop junior traders, structurers, and quants • Represent the business in internal governance forums and market discussions

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in equity derivatives trading, with significant exposure to index exotics • Proven leadership experience managing a trading book with significant risk and P&L responsibility • Expertise in volatility, correlation, dividends, structured products, and cross-asset hedging • Strong quantitative background (e.g., mathematics, engineering, physics, quantitative finance) • Proven ability to collaborate with structuring, sales, and risk functions • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Fluency in English required; additional languages are a strong advantage
