Head of Index Exotics Trading

Tasks

Lead and manage the Index Exotic Trading Desk, including daily risk, pricing, and execution Drive revenue growth through market-making, structuring opportunities, and strategic positioning Monitor risk limits, hedging strategies, and capital utilization across a complex book Collaborating with sales, structuring, and research to provide integrated solutions for institutional clients Leading the development of new products, including equity-linked notes, volatility and correlation strategies, and structured index exposures Collaborating with Compliance, Model Validation, and Senior Management to ensure regulatory and governance standards are met Mentoring and developing junior traders, structurers, and quants Representing the business in internal governance forums and market discussions

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in equity derivatives trading, with significant exposure to index exotics
• Proven leadership experience in managing a trading book with significant responsibility for risk and revenue
• Expertise in volatility, correlation, dividends, structured products, and cross-asset hedging
• Strong quantitative background (e.g., mathematics, engineering, physics, quantitative finance)
• Proven ability to collaborate with structuring, sales, and risk functions
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure trading environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent English required; additional languages are a strong advantage
