Head of Internal Audit

Tasks

The position involves responsibility for the internal auditing of the Group companies. This includes:

• Overseeing all internal audit activities, including planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the internal audit team
• Conducting dynamic risk assessments that guide audit plans
• Assigning, coaching, and reviewing the work of auditors to ensure that audit work is performed on time and to high quality standards
• Performing audit work ourselves, as the internal audit team is relatively small
• Conducting audit engagements on various topics
• Working closely with all departments of the group companies to provide practical recommendations for improving the efficiency of the internal control system
• Developing concrete proposals for improvements and ensuring strict follow-up on the measures to be taken
• Review of audit reports with risk-mitigating measures in cooperation and open discussion with stakeholders and management
• Active participation in meetings where reports are presented to the Audit and Risk Committee and senior management
• Monitoring of the quality assurance program
• Identification and communication of trends for continuous monitoring
• Implementation of best practice approaches to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the entire banking sector
• Monitoring the development and training of the internal audit team to stay up to date with changing processes, products, laws, and regulations
• Setting goals for the team, coaching, and performance reviews

Requirements

The position requires an independent, effective, and value-oriented internal audit function that covers all activities of the bank and its group companies.
