Head of Investor Relations

The Head of Investor Relations is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the investor relations function at Syngum and is tasked with ensuring communication with investors, analysts, and other stakeholders. The role involves developing and implementing an investor relations strategy to communicate the company's vision, financial performance, and growth potential.

About the job

The Head of Investor Relations position reports directly to the CEO APAC and has a dotted line to the Chief of Staff in Switzerland. The role involves the strategic and operational management of the company's investor relations function.

Main tasks:

  • Further develop and refine a robust investor relations and fundraising strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives and IPO roadmap
  • Act as an important gatekeeper and advisor for investor relations and advise management on visibility and reputation within the investor community
  • Establishment and management of an industry-leading investor relations function that builds and maintains strong relationships with current and potential investors
  • Supporting the Group CEO and CEO APAC in all aspects of financing, including developing narratives, managing data rooms, and leading the legal closing process
  • Coordination and communication with investment banks, lawyers, and auditors in the preparation and documentation of IPO and M&A activities
  • Organization of investor events, including the annual general meeting, strategic investor meetings and fundraising roadshows
  • Collaborate with other functional areas to ensure consistent and authentic communication about the company's solution
  • Contribute to the company's strategic planning process to align focus with expectations of driving long-term shareholder value
  • Monitoring news sources to identify key investor relations communication opportunities and needs

Ideal candidate:

  • 10 years of experience in corporate finance, investor relations or the investment management industry, preferably with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, technology or business administration, MBA and/or CFA are preferred
  • Strong, proven quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with knowledge of financial modeling and valuation methods, data analysis and market research
  • Ability to read, interpret and analyze financial, legal and operational documents
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working with MS Word, Excel and related IT systems
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information for diverse stakeholders
  • Language skills: Knowledge of English is required, other languages are a plus
  • Knowledge of and interest in the latest trends in the FinTech industry and digital assets (including asset-backed tokens, cryptocurrencies, etc.)
