Key responsibilities of the position

EFG is seeking an experienced and hands-on IT leader to lead the IT infrastructure and support team in Singapore. The role involves full strategic and governance responsibility, but also requires strong tactical oversight and direct involvement in day-to-day infrastructure, security, and operational matters to ensure that the platform is fit for growth, resilient, and that all branch teams receive superior support.

Key Responsibilities

This role offers broad exposure and the opportunity to contribute to infrastructure, first- and second-line support, information security, and governance within a rapidly growing international private banking business. This position is suited for a pragmatic IT leader who is comfortable operating at both the executive and operational levels, communicates a clear vision, and delivers stability, security, and governance across the entire IT spectrum.

Strategic & Governance Commissioning

  • Deliver a vision for a stable, scalable platform and superior service
  • Developing and managing the annual IT budget for the Singapore branch
  • Aligning local IT initiatives with regional and group strategies
  • Ensuring that business continuity planning (BCP) and disaster recovery (DR) frameworks comply with standards to ensure resilience
  • Be responsible for the IT risk control self-assessment process and ensure that risk exposures and audit findings are addressed in a timely manner
  • Maintaining IT policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with regulatory and group requirements
  • Acting as the outsourcing owner for IT services provided by headquarters and other parties
  • Participation in and submission of recommendations to the Management and Operational Risk Committee

Practical & Operational Management

This role requires active oversight and involvement in the branch’s day-to-day technology operations, including:
  • Monitoring infrastructure stability across servers, networks, end-user, and telephone systems
  • Monitoring of security controls, including patch management, anti-virus, and IDS/DLP alerts
  • Managing and monitoring abnormal IT activities and ensuring proper mitigation of vulnerabilities
  • Oversight of backup processes, tape libraries, and production readiness checks
  • Managing IT changes and ensuring proper governance prior to deployment
  • Managing user access controls and acting as a local security administrator
  • Management of hardware and device lifecycle planning and replacement
  • Ensuring accurate and timely
