Head of Onboarding and Customer Due Diligence Guernsey

The Head of Onboarding and Customer Due Diligence is responsible for implementing a regulatory management framework for the CML business and overseeing onboarding and verification processes. The role also involves leading a team and working with various stakeholders to ensure regulatory requirements are met.

Being part of HSBC's Risk team, you'll help us manage and mitigate risks to ensure we can continue to support our customers.

Tasks

  • Conduct and implement Regulatory Management framework for the CML business aligned to a specific area of the business
  • Acting as a primary relationship point of internal CML activities, focus on onboarding to day-to-day support
  • Reviewing country onboarding and verification CML processes
  • Manage the expectations and outcomes of multiple business functions
  • Ensure controls are implemented whilst ensuring seamless fall-through of business
  • Maintain and enhance industry leading booking practices, manage and maintain compliance with the business' conduct and control framework
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to maintain, manage and agree process to meet regulatory requirement
  • Continue to seek opportunities to improve processes whilst maintaining and ensuring business as usual

Goals

The overall objective of the Head of CML (Private Banking) role is to enable the delivery of the Onboarding and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) function across Private Banking and Wealth Management products and platforms, globally.

Requirements

The role holder will have to build, develop, and understanding of Private Banking and wealth quality transactions to perform the role. A good understanding of the business and the ability to translate it in terms to improve processes and risk management and control are essential and will be assessed in a tailored interview.
