Head of Programs (80–100%) (f/m/d)
The Julius Baer Foundation is seeking a "Head of Programs" (80–100%) who will be responsible for managing all grant programs in the area of wealth inequality and representing the Foundation within the philanthropic sector, as well as to bank clients and other donors. The ideal candidate will have experience managing international grant programs and partnerships, as well as a strong interest in the issue of wealth inequality.
Tasks
The position involves overseeing all grant programs related to wealth inequality. Responsibilities include:- Understanding and deepening the approach through which the Julius Baer Foundation (JBF) aims to help bridge the gap between different socioeconomic classes
- Identifying, visiting, and developing new proposals related to wealth inequality (WI), and ensuring that the projects serve as models for a sector, a region, or a specific group of people
- Representing the JBF at think tanks, forums, and conferences on wealth inequality
Program Management
The position also involves managing programs, including:- Managing JBF partners and projects related to wealth inequality, in collaboration with a small team
- Conducting tenders, due diligence reviews, and evaluating and monitoring all projects
- Drafting of grant agreements, including milestones and KPIs
- Monitoring of impacts and external evaluations
Customer and Donor Engagement
The role also involves establishing and managing relationships with clients and other donors to develop funding and knowledge partnerships, as well as collaborating with client advisors, wealth planners, and other teams to effectively engage clients in philanthropy and address the issue of wealth inequality.Representation and Communication
The role also involves representing the JBF at banking and industry events, including panels, conferences, and industry committees, as well as developing thought leadership initiatives to increase the JBF’s influence.Leadership and Management
The role also involves representing the CEO both internally and externally, providing support in managing the foundation from a strategic, governance, and supervisory board perspective, as well as leading a small team, including all budgetary and HR matters.Requirements
The position requires:- Previous experience in a corporate setting
- A strong commitment to making "wealth inequality" a key focus at a private bank
- Experience in managing international grant programs and partnerships
- Knowledge of Portuguese is a plus
- Personal or professional experience in a country affected by income inequality
- Willingness to travel to international project sites, conferences, and Julius Baer offices
