Head of Reception (Full-Time) (f/m/d)

The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Head of Reception (full-time position) in Zurich to oversee the day-to-day operations of the reception team and ensure excellent customer service. As Head of Reception at Julius Baer in Switzerland, the role combines high-level administrative oversight with exceptional five-star client service, reflecting the bank’s commitment to discretion, professionalism, and excellence in private banking.

Your challenge

- Management and supervision:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the day-to-day operations of the reception teams at Zurich’s Bahnhofstrasse and Morgenstrasse locations, as well as in Lucerne and St. Moritz (approx. 12–14 employees), to foster teamwork and excellence in client service
  • Assigning tasks, monitoring shift schedules and work schedules, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service during all operating hours
  • Fostering a culture of elegance, composure, and attentive service to promote the personal well-being and professional pride of team members
- Client Experience Excellence:
  • Maintain Julius Baer’s high standards of client service by ensuring seamless onboarding experiences that align with our private banking values (passion, care, excellence)
  • Prompt and courteous responses to client inquiries; escalation to the appropriate departments as needed
  • Helping to create unforgettable, people-centered moments that reflect the uniqueness of the Julius Baer experience
- Operational coordination between departments:
  • Close collaboration with administrative staff, facility management, IT support, and event coordinators to ensure smooth office operations and handle support requests
  • Management of supplies, maintenance of equipment, and upkeep of reception areas (e.g., cleanliness, branded materials) to maintain a high standard of luxury
- Compliance and Procedures:
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies, data protection regulations, and group-wide operating guidelines

Your profile

- Proven strong leadership skills to effectively manage and mentor reception and administrative staff, fostering a culture of
  • to support coordination and office logistics across multiple locations
  • Discretion and integrity: A high degree of trustworthiness in handling sensitive information and when interacting with VIP clients and senior executives
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and composure in high-pressure situations, remain calm, and respond efficiently to incidents or urgent, time-sensitive requests
  • Excellent organizational skills to seamlessly coordinate complex schedules, client events, support requests, limousine service arrangements, and tasks for senior executives
  • The ability to network with peers across Swiss regions to foster a collaborative culture, share insights, drive change, and recognize cultural differences as valuable assets that enrich the organization and promote its growth
