We are seeking an experienced candidate for the role of strategic leader of a matrix team, whose primary focus will be on the design and implementation of standard and customized reports.Tasks
- Leading projects in the design of reporting initiatives. Collaborating with operations, customer, and technology teams to deliver various projects.
- Analyzing technical solutions for business requirements and collaborating with business teams to identify requirements.
- Developing data analyses, functional requirements, and cost estimates for projects.
- Participation in information delivery and business intelligence strategy meetings
- Comparison of data analysis, reporting, and data mapping
- Interface with data experts, business management solutions, and data validation support.
- Support in the development of conceptual/data models with appropriate business context
- Performing data gap analyses on complex financial data
- Act as the primary subject matter expert for the organization and assist users with creating ad hoc dashboards, data visualization, and reporting.
- Ensure that project activities are clearly aligned with results-oriented, performance-driven, and compliant requirements.
- Use analytical, conceptual, and creative thinking skills to improve performance.
- Studying, evaluating, and documenting current and future business processes, taking strategy and objectives into account.
- Support with user training, documentation, and rollout.
- Support for BAO activities.
- Maintaining effective working relationships with organizational teams and customers.
- Leading a team of developers, business analysts, and project managers.
- Management of data quality processes.
- Data line management.
- Management and maintenance of data warehouse.
- Management of data standards.
Requirements
- Experience in business reporting, developing business process flows/comparing current and future processes, and effective communication skills.
- Ability to articulate fundamental project methodology concepts using SDLC or Agile.
- Ability to analyze enterprise-wide data and logical data models to validate design against requirements.
- Ability to write SQL code for robust data analysis through queries, data profiling, and data validation exercises.
- Familiarity with financial reporting, business intelligence, and data warehousing principles.
- Experience with reporting/data visualization tools (Tableau, QlikView) and Natural.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with excellent moderation skills.
- Deep understanding of State Street's technical architecture, including: data warehousing (SSDW, ETL, ADP), reporting and WIF tools (CRS, IB, COBIT, Data Line), cash forecasting, DB2.
- Understanding of non-financial data sources, including: transaction management reconciliations, cash and investment accounting, performance, custody, compliance, corporate actions, alternative investment accounting, performance, custody, compliance.
- Subject matter expert in the application of derivatives and system access across asset classes.
Education and preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, MIS, information technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data analysis or customer reporting.
