About the position
HEAD OF SALES, EUROPEWhat you will do
- Overseeing and coordinating the sales channels for the company’s products and services at its offices in Milan, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Monaco, and London
- Budgetary responsibility for sales in the EU
- Promoting and selling investment products to assigned client accounts within the respective target market in order to meet a predetermined annual budget for a group of sales representatives
- Developing a roadmap for the respective market, implementing the sales strategy for the assigned location/market, identifying new leads and sales opportunities through market analysis and new customer acquisition to expand the company’s sales reach
- Manage existing customer relationships to ensure a high level of service; analyze customer penetration, assess strengths and weaknesses, and identify opportunities to improve the team’s customer coverage
- Reviewing and maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities within the regulatory framework
- Ensuring that all customers are informed of new initiatives or changes to internal policies within a reasonable timeframe
- Ensuring that all investment products sold to a customer are properly recorded and settled with the relevant counterparties
- Responsibility for the primary and secondary markets for investment products held by clients
- Lead a sales team for a specific location or market, responsible for the team’s development, succession planning, and growth
- Ensuring a continuous exchange of knowledge with other departments and sales teams
What you need
- Degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or a related field (bachelor’s or master’s degree)
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in the sales of structured products at a global investment bank or a leading private bank
- Proven customer base and revenue track record
- Excellent presentation skills, strategic planning skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset
- In-depth product knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of structured products and derivatives across multiple asset classes, as well as experience working with institutional, retail, and distribution clients in various European countries
- Risk and Pricing Tools: Experience with pricing and risk platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Numerix, internal pricing models)
- Strategic Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build long-term trust with customers and internal stakeholders, along with the ability to influence customer decisions and negotiate contracts both internally and externally
- Language skills: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is a plus, given our customer base
