Tasks

- Define and execute the strategic vision and technical roadmap for Global Payments Technology infrastructure (primarily SWIFT), ensuring that it aligns with the objectives of the Wholesale Banking business and long-term overall goals - Lead cross-functional and cross-business collaboration to identify requirements, design solutions, and implement payment capabilities that drive competitive advantage and operational efficiency - Set the technical direction and architectural standards for SWIFT infrastructure, including SWIFT Alliance Access, gateways, and messaging platforms, ensuring that standards are adhered to - Build, promote, and lead a high-performing global team of SWIFT engineers, payment infrastructure specialists, and technical experts, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence - Take responsibility for developing and implementing comprehensive payment governance frameworks, compliance standards, and operational procedures to ensure transaction integrity and regulatory compliance - Optimize screening and monitoring solutions and their integration with payment infrastructure to improve the effectiveness of transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and regulatory reporting while ensuring comprehensive financial crime compliance across all payment workflows - Collaborate with senior executives, business leaders, and technology stakeholders to translate complex payment requirements into scalable technical solutions and strategic roadmaps - Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and vendor management for all payment technology initiatives to ensure optimal return on investment and cost efficiency - Establish key performance indicators, success metrics, and reporting frameworks to measure infrastructure performance, impact, and strategic alignment

Requirements

• Leadership experience in financial services payment technology, with experience in a senior executive role focused on SWIFT infrastructure and global payments
• Proven track record in the successful design, construction, and implementation of large-scale payment infrastructures, particularly for wholesale banking or investment banking
• Deep expertise in SWIFT messaging standards (MT and MX formats), SWIFT Alliance Access, SWIFT gateways, and related payment infrastructure technologies
• Comprehensive understanding of the global payment system, including correspondent banking, compliance, cash management, and regulatory requirements
• Proven track record of leading large, geographically dispersed teams and managing complex, multi-year payment technology transformation programs
• Strong financial knowledge with experience in budget management, P&L responsibility, and ROI justification for large-scale payment technology investments
