Job description
The Head of Wealth Planning Asia is responsible for overseeing and developing the wealth planning offering in Asia, leading the regional wealth planning team, and monitoring performance in accordance with the Group’s strategy and the KPIs established by the Head of Global Wealth Planning.Tasks
- Lead the Wealth Planning department in Asia. - Formulate and implement strategic plans to develop the Wealth Planning platform as an expanded service offering of EFG Asia. - Train and develop wealth planners in the region to the desired standard. - Collaborate with clients and Client Relationship Officers (CROs) to understand and identify clients’ needs and goals, and work with all relevant parties to manage and close these cases. - Discuss wealth planning topics with clients and CROs, such as insurance solutions, trusts, foundations, corporations, family offices, and other complex structures. - Conduct training sessions and discussions with CROs on relevant product updates and innovative positioning techniques in the wealth planning sector. - Coordinate regionally with external providers for wealth planning solutions not available internally (e.g., life insurance, trust services). - Promote wealth planning concepts and services through CRO meetings, client events, newsletters, marketing materials, and internal training sessions. - Contribute to wealth planning newsletters, marketing, and other communication materials.Insurance
- Oversee, drive, and supervise insurance brokerage activities in Asia in line with the Group’s strategy. - Work closely with insurers and brokers to provide Universal Life Insurance (ULI), Variable Universal Life (VUL), PPI life insurance, annual plans, and other insurance solutions for high-net-worth clients. - Actively collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders to maximize productivity and profitability and establish processes to develop and monitor the insurance business.Requirements
- A university degree in a legal or finance-related field; additional qualifications in the relevant field (e.g., TEP, L.L.M. in Insurance, etc.) are preferred. - Demonstrable experience in managing wealth planning transactions, ideally at an insurance company, brokerage firm, private bank, trust company, or a law or accounting firm. - In-depth knowledge, understanding, and experience in: - HNW insurance solutions and premium financing - The use of wealth planning tools such as trusts, foundations, family offices, and corporations - The coordination, understanding, and addressing of comprehensive needs of private clients, such as relocation services and legal advice for Greater China and Asia - A methodical thinker with a proven ability to demonstrate exceptional analytical rigor and a passion for in-depth research to solve a variety of client challenges. - Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate with and advise high-profile high-net-worth individuals and to present to private clients and private banking colleagues both in person and digitally. - Strong organizational skills, a structured approach, and strict adherence to legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements. - Practical experience in the field ofJob details
