Head Regulations and Group Policy

The position of Head Regulations and Group Policy at Bank CIC in Basel involves managing a team in the area of compliance as well as implementing and monitoring regulatory requirements and internal guidelines. The job holder will also act as an interface between the Executive Board, the Group and the supervisory authorities.

Your tasks

  • Act as a role model and provide leadership by encouraging and engaging team members to ensure a high level of expertise, diversity and quality in the execution of activities
  • They propose the implementation of controls, policies and procedures in connection with identified risks and ensure their proper implementation
  • You identify, assess and evaluate compliance risks in connection with Swiss law and Group guidelines (staff function)
  • You ensure the implementation of and compliance with the controls and requirements in connection with the FinSA by ensuring strict application of the regulations and continuously adapting to regulatory developments
  • You advise the management and the sales department on all compliance-related issues
  • They act as an interface between the management and the Group in the aligned predetermined to meet the legal requirements and ensure an appropriate level of competence in the departments
  • They ensure structured and regular reporting to the Head of Compliance, the Executive Board, the Board of Directors, Group Compliance and/or the supervisory authorities

Requirements

  • You have a higher education in banking, finance, law, economics or a comparable field and have sound professional experience in the area of compliance, ideally acquired in a bank or with a financial services provider
  • You have practical experience in a control function (compliance, auditing, risk management) and have a good understanding of legal persons, corporate law structures and economic relationships
  • You have proven management experience, know how to motivate your employees, develop their skills in a targeted manner and inspire them to achieve common goals
  • Thanks to your strong leadership skills, reliability and high quality standards, you are a credible and respected leader who is able to create a trusting working environment within the team
  • As part of the close cooperation with our French parent company, an excellent command of French is essential
  • A good command of English is also required for this position
