HR Business Advisor (fixed-term contract)
JPMorgan Chase is seeking an HR Business Advisor (fixed-term contract) in Geneva, Switzerland, to serve as a trusted HR partner to executives and support them in HR-related activities. The successful candidate will work closely with various HR teams to implement a cohesive regional strategy and support HR processes.
Job description
As an HR Business Advisor in our HR organization, you will support senior managers with core HR activities and help connect them with other HR colleagues and specialists to find solutions to their HR-related issues.Tasks
- Works closely with geographically diverse HR teams to deliver a cohesive regional strategy. - Collaborates with HR Center of Excellence (COE) groups to advise on and facilitate people processes across multiple disciplines (recruitment, compensation, benefits, mobility, etc.). - Partners with line-of-business/functional HR business unit advisors as needed. - Collaborates with local HR advisors, internal legal departments, and Employee Relations (ER) Center of Excellence teams to resolve manager and employee issues, adapt to new regulations, lawsuits, and alerts, etc. - Support the year-end compensation process by ensuring that baselines are accurate (including new hires, departures, and transfers), providing guidance on incentive compensation and salary planning, and supporting managers with compensation decisions. - Supports the performance cycle by collaborating with executives as needed to address performance questions, issues, and processes, supporting promotion processes, and providing guidance. - Supports the implementation of HR agenda initiatives and efforts for a business unit and a location. - Provides day-to-day consultation on human capital matters. - Collaborates with Management Information Systems (MIS) and reporting to understand trends and outliers and facilitate fact-based, metrics-driven business decisions. - Analyzes processes, data, and trends to provide recommendations to the management team for continuous improvement. - Ensures that appropriate controls are in place for all critical HR processes and are effectively managed.Requirements
- Experience as an HR Business Advisor is required. - Strong work experience within a hybrid HR structure with centralized and decentralized functions that leverages resources across functions and locations. - A bachelor’s degree is required. - Experience with labor law, HR regulations, and HR practices is required. - Knowledge of the full range of HR practices: goal setting, performance evaluation and improvement, compensation practices, workforce planning, workforce reductions, manager development, and risk mitigation. - Demonstrated track record of objectively coaching employees and management through complex, difficult issues and risk mitigation. - Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with executives. - Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong, positive working relationships. - Strong analytical, quantitative, and technical skills to leverage data to create HR strategies that support and drive business results. - Technical proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. - Ability to navigate a global matrix organization and partner on HR and business issues. - Exceptional judgment, proven ability to make informed decisions and develop alternative solutions in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.Preferred qualifications
