HR Business Advisor
JPMorgan Chase is seeking an HR Business Advisor for a 6-month fixed-term contract in Geneva, Switzerland, to serve as a trusted HR partner to executives and provide support for HR activities. The successful candidate will work closely with various HR teams to implement a cohesive regional strategy and resolve HR-related issues.
Job description
As an HR Business Advisor in our organization, you will support senior managers in core HR activities and help them collaborate with other HR professionals and specialists to resolve their HR-related issues.Tasks
- Close collaboration with geographically diverse HR teams to deliver a cohesive regional program.
- Collaborate with HR Center of Excellence (COE) teams to advise on and facilitate HR processes across various disciplines (recruitment, compensation, benefits, mobility, etc.).
- Collaboration with line-of-business/functional HR business advisors as needed.
- Communicating with local HR advisors, the internal legal department, and the Employee Relations (ER) Center of Excellence teams to resolve issues involving managers and employees, adapt to new regulations, address complaints and warnings, etc.
- Support the year-end compensation process by ensuring that baselines are accurate (including new hires, departures, and transfers), providing guidance on incentive compensation and salary planning, and assisting managers with compensation decisions.
- Supporting the performance cycle by partnering with managers as needed to address performance-related questions, issues, and processes, as well as providing support and guidance during the promotion process.
- Support in implementing HR initiatives and efforts for a business unit and a location.
- Daily advice on human resources matters.
- Integration with management information systems (MIS) and reporting tools to identify trends and outliers and facilitate fact-based, metrics-driven decisions.
- Analyze processes, data, and trends to provide recommendations to the management team for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an HR Business Advisor is required.
- Extensive experience in a hybrid organizational structure with both centralized and decentralized functions, and the ability to leverage resources across functions and locations.
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Experience with labor law, HR policies, and HR practices, as well as knowledge of the specific characteristics of the Swiss labor market.
- A strong culture of oversight and risk management, with the ability to ensure compliance with legal requirements and to address and resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Knowledge of the full range of human resources practices: goal setting, performance evaluation and improvement, compensation plans, workforce planning, downsizing, leadership development, and compensation plans.
- Proven experience in providing objective advice to employees and managers on complex, challenging issues and risk mitigation.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with executives.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and technical skills to leverage data in developing HR strategies that support and drive business results.
- Ability to navigate a global matrix organization and collaborate on issues that span HR and the business.
