HR Business Partner (Maternity Leave Replacement)

Bank J. Safra Sarasin is seeking an HR Business Partner (m/f/d) for its Back Office department in Basel, who will serve as a partner to managers and employees at all levels and provide high-quality human resources services. The position is a temporary replacement for maternity leave and can be filled on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Your role

As an HR Business Partner at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will be responsible for our back-office operations and will work closely with senior management as well as employees at all levels. You will provide high-quality services that contribute to the success of the HR department. Thanks to your experience and open personality, you will play a central role in the HR team by helping to improve our processes and by leading and/or supporting new and existing initiatives.

Your tasks

  • Manage, coach, and support line managers throughout the HR value chain to identify tailored, value-adding solutions
  • Drive an efficient and effective end-to-end recruitment process and ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Take on the role of a trusted advisor for all matters related to human capital management: e.g., managing high and low performers, labor law inquiries, etc.
  • Demonstrate leadership in the successful implementation of HR processes and drive meaningful initiatives based on identified KPIs
  • Anticipate HR-related challenges and apply expert knowledge to ensure that HR practices and policies are followed in critical employee relations matters
  • Initiate, drive, and collaborate on projects and initiatives to enhance operational excellence or improve value-adding HR services
  • Work with HR colleagues to improve, maintain, and support operational and routine HR services

Your profile

  • Higher education (university or university of applied sciences) in human resources management, Swiss federal diploma, or equivalent
  • 3 years of practical experience in human resources as an HR generalist
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • A team player with a proven track record in tactical and operational HR matters, who is willing to share their experience and support other HR colleagues
  • A practical approach, a can-do attitude, and a confident personality
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills
